"The movie clips in just two minutes provide an excellent, engaging and importantly, a real life illustration of the different issues, which is sometimes beyond what a teacher can communicate in a whole lesson. The pictures and movies are an instant “window on the world” and help make the connection between learnt knowledge and reality. Students have left the classroom wanting to explore the issues more. Ghana’s similarities with the UK were a surprise and students felt that a distant place and people had become much closer by looking at Ghana through Plan-ed." "Just seen a link for this on TES which I don't often look at - website including development resources of Plan UK - a child centred development organisation. Includes some useful resources - including videos and photographs - worth exploring." "The Anti-slavery project has been a very exciting challenge for us. The wonderful thing is that we can see the advancements children and teachers are having as we carry on with the classes, meetings and researches. We can tell a significant change in children’s behaviors and teacher’s involvement. This project will bring so much more than we have expected. I am really glad I am part of it." |
