These are all questions that this project addresses in varying levels of detail through 4 schemes of work for the different key stages. Each scheme consists of 4 lessons with accompanying resources. The lessons are all clearly mapped to national curriculum attainment targets.
The source material and resources all come from the ‘Identity project’ which linked 25 schools in the UK with 23 schools in Africa and a youth group in the Philippines. The groups worked collaboratively exploring the concept of identity in relation to rights and responsibilities. The groups explored these topics in the classroom and online through e-mail discussion forums and chat rooms.
