| Shoot Nations exhibition and workshop tour kicked off in London on 15th September. 25 young people took part in a workshop that focused on photography as a tool for youth voice, and pictures as a catalyst for change. |

The participants took to the streets of the South Bank with a set of clues to find and photograph, some of which were physical locations, others abstract. Once back at Tate Modern, participants were encouraged to think about which of their photos were the most powerful and how they could use images to generate change. The workshop then looked at how certain photographs changed the world, and how young people could break the barriers that are stopping them being heard. Participants wrote down actions they could do as individuals, as part of a group and how, on Monday morning, to start to bring about change in the issues they felt strongly about. The exhibitionFollowing the workshop, the Shoot Nations London Exhibition opened at Southwark Cathedral Refectory. 60 images from the main project were displayed along with 10 from the Tate workshop. The Shoot Exhibition and Workshop Tour now heads to Berlin, West Africa and India. Resources from the project are available in the Resource Centre. |
