Young stars give their views on climate change

Some of the UK's hottest young talent has taken up the challenge to encourage students to think more deeply about climate change and how it affects their peers around the world.

Platinum selling R&B/Hip Hop group N-Dubz, alongside MTV news presenters Rickie and Laura and global singer/song-writing star Jay Sean, agreed to be filmed answering questions submitted from students on climate change as part of the Make The Link, Be The Change project.

Tulisa from N-Dubz says:
"I think it's quite clear that global warming is here and its happening and we need to do something about it."

And on the subject of a new Heathrow runway adds:
"I think we should get rid of Heathrow anyway, I know it would affect my tours if there were no airplanes but there is all this pollution right in front of our eyes and they are just not doing anything about it."

Jay Sean says:
"It's down to us and definitely down to people like myself to [seize the] opportunity to reach out to the kids and set a bit of an example."

He also had strong views on the topic of Heathrow adding:
"My parents live near Heathrow and they have an airplane going over their roof every two minutes, We've had to sort the tiles out a few times as they keep falling down because of the vibrations."

Ricky and Laura said:
"We chose to get involved with this campaign as it's very important for our planet that we take climate change very seriously. If everyone does their small little bit we could all make a big difference."
