| Make the Link, Be the Change |
| Plan¿s international climate change education project aims to link 3000 students over the next academic year to discuss environmental and climate change. |
|
The new initiative links young people aged 13 and above in different countries to explore and discuss the changing global climate. Participants examine local environmental impacts, contributing factors, behaviour change and partnerships using shared lesson plans, the internet and video conferencing facilities. This will be complemented by out of school work including essay writing, drawing, photography and sculpture representing the impact of climate change. Work created will be displayed at World Museum Liverpool and at the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP15) as part of the Children in a Changing Climate display. The project follows the award-winning methodology developed by Plan and National Museums Liverpool for the 2007 anti-slavery project, Make the Link, Break the Chain.
